Trekking Sierra Nevada

from
 745,00

The Sierra Nevada extends through the regions of Almeria and Granada. It measures 78 km from east to west and is 30km in the west and 15km in the east. This is the highest massif in Europe after the Alps, with Mulhacen being the highest peak in mainland Spain at 3482 metres.

The diversity of this region, which ranges from 500 metres in the Las Alpujarras to over 3000 metres in the Sierra Nevada gives the walker a fantastic week of varying landscapes, wildlife and climate.

The guided walking holiday is catered for people who wish to have some challenging walks and to walk at a high altitude. We walk up the highest mountain in mainland Spain, Mulhacen. At 3482 m it is the highest mountain in the Sierra Nevada.

As you will be partaking in an activity holiday, it is a condition that you are adequately covered by the relevant insurance for medical and holiday cover. You will be asked to send proof of insurance when you have booked a holiday with us. We also recommend that you obtain your EHIC card which enables a citizen from the EU to health care anywhere within the EU.

Most holiday insurance companies include walking as part of their normal policy – just make sure it goes up to 3500m if you are walking Mulhacen.

All our guided itineraries have airport transfers included. We recommend Malaga to fly into and contact us and we will discuss with you the pick up options available.

Of course you can. If you are willing to share a room then there is no problem but if you want your own room there is a single supplement charge applicable.(120 Euro for 7 nights)

We keep our guided groups to 8 people. We feel the group works better in a small more personalised group.

No, the choice is yours. If you want free day then just inform us at the time and we can hopefully give you other options or if you feel a walk maybe too much for you we can usually arrange a shorter version for you.

We have never cancelled a week but we will inform you if the group on your chosen week is low on walkers.

All the hotels can cater for any diet. If you have a particularly allergy, just let us know and we will make sure the hotels are aware.
